Marieke started with tango in Amsterdam at the age of 19. Trough the years tango became a mirror for her life development. Stimulated by a great love for dance, an interest in psychosomatics and a strong belief in the potential of tango, she promotes, organizes, and looks for improvement and enjoyment in tango dancing and teaching.
Hugo comes from the music branch as a classical, tango and rock guitar player and gradually shifted his life from musician to dancer. His wit and creativity, positivism, philosophical look at life and years of tango experience makes him a beloved dancer and teacher.
Marieke & Hugo are organizers and teachers of Cuartito Azul Rotterdam , a dynamic place for tango in the Netherlands.
